New Meadows to Whitebird Idaho 67 miles
Good News: the ride was downhill all the way.
Bad News: it was pouring rain and we had a head wind. We took to changing positions every 10 minutes to share the pulling. (yes we were pulling downhill!
Bad News: We arrived in Whitebird (pop150) to find it was Whitebird Rodeo Days so there were no motel rooms.
Good News: it stopped raining, we got a spot at an RV/rafting park,we had a good salmon dinner in town and listened to a great country band out on the street. ( Frank had a Bitch Creek Amber which he says is excellent)

There's nothing worse than a headwind downhill - it just doesn't seem fair! It looks like you guys are heading north! Have you forgotten that you are going to Virginia? I have nothing but admiration for both of you - keep on peddling.
