Happy Birthday Nor!!

Aug 2 Day 58 Houston To Eminence MO 43 mi.
Aug 3 Day 59 Eminence to Centerville MO 44 mi
Aug 4 Day 60 Centerville to Farmington MO 50 mi

We never thought we would be glad to see RVs on the road, but RVs mean campgrounds and we haven't seen any real campgrounds for a long time. We had two nice campsites the last two nights. We were able to stand in the river up over our knees which felt great after the hills of the ride. Talked to a young (21) German rider who had to take 2 days off to rest his knees so we don't feel so bad about using some ice and cold water therapy.
On Aug 3 we caught up with two girls we had last seen in West Yellowstone. The mother of one of them had ridden on the first Trans Am in 1976. We also had a long chat with 3 other WB riders. Two on them were riding to raise $$ for their eco friendly winery they are starting in Va !?
With all the standing around and talking it was a good thing we rode a short day.
More and more hills but the scenery is pretty and the riding certainly isn't boring.
I am writing this from the Farmington Library. We are here reading, writing and waiting out a thunderstorm before we go searching for dinner.
We are spending tonight at the Fire Station in Farmington. It is infamous among the riders as a great place to stay. They put us up in the Haz Mat trailer. There are showers and the trailer is air conditioned with a TV. They say they only use the Haz Mat trailer if there is a tornado or a really big fire. We will keep our fingers crossed.
