July 13 Day 38
Hot Sulphur Springs to Silverthorne WY: 61 miles
Beautiful riding this morning along the Blue River and Green Mt. Reservoir. "Accu weather" wasn't very "accu" today and the storm we were expecting at 2 arrived at noon. We pulled off the road, took hail stones out of our ears, (no I am not kidding), wrapped ourselves in our nylon tarp (thanks Pete) and waited it out. Frank loved it. Thunder and lightening so close we couldn't count any time between them. We waited about 40 minutes through wind, hail, thunder, wind, and lightening and then finished the rest of the ride uneventfully.
Aside....
We are suffering from "family withdrawal". All you guys are also having great adventures, so how about sharing some pictures?? Send the pictures to my email and I will send them on to Cheryl and we will have a "Family Blog" post. Does that work??
Nor: your triathlon? P and G's visit?
Peter: your visit to SLC?
Emily: Brits wedding? roofing? visit with Jack and Fiona?
NC Evansons: Emily's visit?
EMBBG: (Evanson Mountain Biking Boys and Girls) pictures from your events?
Heidi: Bob?
Paul and Gwynne: Barque Lake?
So what do you think?

A small glass of port under the tarp would have been in order.

We didn't take pics of Emily and the kids - DOH! Can't believe I didn't do that - and me the scrapbooker...
