Fairplay to Royal Gorge. 65 miles
We had another episode under the tarp today. (and still without port). About 30 min of rain and hail just 15 min from our destination. We figure if we hadn't stopped to chat with the other riders we would have made it. But what fun would that be?? The first 2 boys regaled us with hilarious stories of the dogs in Kentucky and the 2nd set gave us their pepper spray! Well worth it. Downhill most of the the day with a nice tail wind. We did our first 18 miles in under an hour. One more 9400 ft pass ( ho hum at this point) In a KOA tonight, drying out the panniers.

Royal Gorge is very cool. I would of course never go on the bridge as I'm a big chicken about those things. Still cool though.
